Hello

Thank you so much for visiting my website today and taking the time to read this. Posts will not always be my news, or shop updates, but also more generally about the things that inspire me, and the thoughts I have related to my work and process.

March 21st 2026. Newsletter no.1

Putting out my newsletter at the solstice seems like a good place for regular catchups!

Welcome and Thank you so much for subscribing.

This time last year I was coming back from York Ceramics Fair. At York, five of us Scottish potters shared accommodation and we all had a wonderful time, the show itself was very busy with visitors and it was a great weekend. In the meantime I was very busy being the Craft Potters Association chair person for CERAMIC ART LONDON, it was a demanding role with lots of committees and meetings. But somehow in all of that I also managed to get work done as an exhibitor.

In May, I was in London to exhibit at Ceramic Art London. It was only the second time I had participated in CAL, and I felt enormously privileged to be part of such an illustrious line up of some of the best potters in the UK and wider world. and it was hugely exciting and also terrifying, but in the end actually loads of fun.

Looking back from my perspective now it all seems like a bit of a dream.

The huge changes that happened later in the year kicked off shortly after those shows when I had to return quickly from Victoria B.C. where I was visiting, when my husband was admitted to hospital. Thankfully he is fine but now has ongoing problems which mean I need to stay home. So no more going off to do shows and no more gallery deadlines which are all just too stressful now. I will continue to exhibit at Contemporary Ceramics Centre, Great Russell Street , London. However the only show I will be doing this year is Pittenweem Arts Festival August 1st - 8th. I will be back at 9 West Shore down on the seafront.(three words : Husky. Goad.Convinced )

So here in 2026 my new life has begun, those changes meant that in order to keep working I needed to make a change in my practice. In December I decided I would have a much greater involvement on Instagram and start selling predominantly through my website. So for the first time I created my own website, you will find me at : www.moyrastewart.com

I am so pleased with my new website, the shop is stocked with new additions going in regularly, please do have a look. For updates and and news please follow me on instagram

you can find me : @moyrastewartsculptor

It’s a big adventure for me and I am really enjoying making videos, so I do hope you will follow me and I look forward to meeting you there. In the absence of shows it is my way of keeping up with friends and colleagues, and I can’t tell you how much your comments and the dialogues mean to me.

so please get in touch !

Thank you

Moyra
